Last Wednesday, my 4 younger kids and I headed to The Golden Inn in Avalon, New Jersey for the Blogger Beach Bash organized by Joey Fortman of Real Mom Media. (The oldest one started high school last week.) We brought some beach gear including our boogie boards. I knew rain was in the forecast, though my hopes were high that we’d enjoy a few hours of sand castle building with Sandman Matt. Maybe we could even dip our toes in the ocean.
What an eventful day! We built castles. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at The Golden Inn. We surfed. We chatted. It poured buckets. I took lots of photos. Next year, I’m staying over night and taking the kids to the boardwalk in Wildwood. Oh, did I mention there’s a Starbucks Restaurant right in The Golden Inn’s lobby? Awesome coffee, awesome beach, and an awesome hotel – I’m there!
