#wordlesswednesday: a weekend of color

Streamers covering a mirror in the dining room

Even though it’s a dreary rainy day here in Philly today, this past weekend the weather was gorgeous. I made it a priority for myself to keep grabbing my camera and take pictures. I’m much more comfortable with the Canon 50D and I love my Tamron 28-75mm lens. I can use it pretty much anywhere, even school events, plus I’m more comfortable with the weight. Getting a camera coat helps me feel more secure about bringing the camera places. I may treat myself to a new strap for Mother’s Day just because I love a fun strap!

5th Birthday Candles

The birthday boy insisted on having all these candles on his cake. The moment we had them lit, he blew them out!

By the way, if a new-to-you digital camera is on your list for Mother’s Day, I highly recommend talking to the folks at KEH. When I called, the customer service rep answered all my questions and took the time to explain what I could look for and get. He didn’t try to sell me the latest and greatest. Instead, he agreed with my desire to stick to a used Canon camera body without a video camera. The prices were competitive with what I saw elsewhere, plus if you call them, the reps have access to the latest inventory which might not be available on the website yet. And no, I’m not an affiliate, though I would be if they had a program.

I love Gerber Daisies. That is all.

Tree Peony by our driveway

My fun game with pool noodles and balloons turned into a noodle battle at the party.
