This is part of the reason why I started with my weight routine for my arms last week.
This compost pile has three large sections and one small one. We don’t turn it enough, but it produces a load of compost every year. The two bins on the left need to be run through the shredder because of the sticks in the compost, but the compost is pretty much ready. The bin on the right is the new pile. Most of the material was lying on top of the vegetable bed to the right of the three bins.
Since this new material had not been piled high enough to produce the right temperature to break down the materials, much of it was still pretty raw – either slimy or dry.
The vegetable bed is now ready to be tilled, and a layer of leaf mulch added on.
