After dropping off a load of donations, including a plastic pitcher, I found this glass pitcher at Goodwill this week for $4. It’s hard to see in the photograph, but a golden keyhole design runs around the pitcher just above the white flowers. I liked the combination of Greek and Asian elements, even though it’s a bit tacky.
These treasures came from Surrey Thrift Shop which is full, too full, of items right now. The two blue glass Ball jars were $.50 each. The silverplate tray under the plant was $1.75, and the napkin in the front is part of a set of 6 for $4. The napkins have embroidery and an “H” monogram. They’re thin enough for me to use as handkerchiefs; I’m the biggest tissue user in our family. We also picked up another copy of Toy Story 2 for $1 to replace our defective copy.
The two glass Ball jars are now in my bathroom holding my barrettes and my daughter’s barrettes.
