With the Super Bowl, aka Game Day, in just a few weeks, I’m sharing an updated version of one of my favorite appetizers, Hot Spicy Artichoke Dip. As long as you keep a few jars of artichoke hearts in the pantry, you can make this easy appetizer up at the last minute. This spicy artichoke dip goes well with sourdough crackers, cucumbers, Stone Wheat crackers, any food willing to step aside and let this dip shine.
If you happen to have any of this artichoke dip leftover (and, yes, I recommend making a double batch), it’s super tasty with meats like Corned Beef or as a topping for potatoes. I experimented in interest of giving y’all ideas. Or, just because I could eat the entire dip in one setting.
- ½ cup Greek Yogurt
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 6 oz. jars of artichoke hearts
- ⅓ cup Pecorino Romano cheese
- The ingredients can be mixed by hand in a bowl with a spoon, pureed in a bowl with an immersion blender, or pureed in a food processor. Because I like my dip chunky, I usually mix by hand.
- Place in oven-proof serving dish and baked at 350 for 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
I’m joining with 12 other food bloggers to share game day recipes sure to please all the adults and kids at your Super Bowl get-together.

We always order artichoke dip at restaurants. I am definitely going to try this.
I’ve been making spinach and artichoke dip as long as I can remember – and I have never seen one so simple (mine has 16 ingredients, lol), and with Greek yogurt. I like that this is just artichokes, I’m going to have to give this a whirl, I love quick and easy apps that are full of flavor!

Yum! We love artichoke dip but I have not made it with Greek yogurt before. Looks delicious and you are right, it is wise to double the recipe!
I like the idea of serving it on chicken. We have a pizza from one of the restaruants nearby that has artichokes, chicken, bacon and feta cheese with tomatoes. It is divine. It reminds me of the dip.
Blessings!
