Last week, I shared a roundup of yummy snack recipes I had found online, perfect for after school snacks, or on the go snacks, along with some yummy link ups from other bloggers. This week, it’s time for meal planning. It’s time to shift from the lazy days of summer into days of school, homework, and sports and other activities. It’s also time to shift into fall and meals of soups and stews.
I’ll admit meal planning is a bit of a struggle for me. I’ve tried weekly planning, and I’ve tried monthly planning. I think I did best when I had a monthly plan in place which I could change if I needed to. Currently, I’m using a weekly menu plan that covers 3 meals a day 7 days a week, along with a place for snacks or food prep. Even though I re-copy the food prep tasks to my kitchen planner, having the 3 meals a day somewhat planned has helped me to spend more time cooking with the kids.
