Be Curious! This year’s Philadelphia Science Festival takes place April 18th to 28th with more than 100 events all over the city of Philadelphia. As a collaboration among organizations of varying size and mission, the Philadelphia Science Festival has become a truly city-wide event, with programs and exhibitions taking place throughout the city’s many neighborhoods, fueled by the best scientific and educational resources the region has to offer—all geared towards making science interesting, relevant, and fun.
About a week ago, my kids and I attended a preview of the 2013 Philadelphia Science Festival #psf2013 at the opening of Smith Playground in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. (Disclosure: We received free admission.) On hand were the Franklin Institute, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Crazy Aaron’s Putty, the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, and the Spatial Intelligence and Learning Center of Temple University, just a few of the Philadelphia organizations and companies involved in this year’s Science Festival sponsored by DOW.
