When I found some mini clay pots at my local dollar store in January, I knew I needed to do a craft with them. Then, I wanted to get some other crafty bloggers I know to come up with their own mini clay pot craft. Enter the Mini Clay Pot Craft Party.
Since I’m a bit obsessed with terrariums right now, and all things green and springlike, I decided to use my mini clay pots to make mini terrariums. These terrariums took me about 20 minutes to make which is the perfect craft time for this busy mom of 5.
First I used a glue gun to glue the glass bowl to the bottom of the clay pot. Then, I filled the glass bowl with a small layer of decorative stones (helps with drainage) and a small layer of potting soil. I placed the succulent on top and added more potting soil around the succulent.
Finally, I carefully watered the plants. The best way to water these mini terrariums is with an ice cube to prevent the water from overflowing out of the pot. I use the same technique for my orchids which don’t need a lot of water weekly either.
