Ah, the Menu Plan – that time of the week when I quickly throw a plan together because I do need to look organized after all.
Well, we’re into the second half of March, that part of the calendar that has blanks on it for my monthly menu plan. However, I do have a plan. Last week, we dealt with illness, and some people just weren’t eating. This morning a quick check of the fridge revealed a meatloaf, a container of sausage in red sauce, and bits of other meals. Sounds like the beginnings of a plan for me!
Also, I tried a pork chop recipe last week which I’m going to use again this week. It was okay last week, though I have to admit to not following the recipe. I forgot to marinate the chops. So…this time I will.
I’m also keeping kitchen prep light this week because of my schedule. If I do have some extra time or one of the kids is looking for something to do, I’ll do a little more.
Monday – Last week’s Meatloaf, Sauteed Broccoli from the freezer, and Rice
Tuesday – Balsamic and Brown Sugar Pork Chops, Sweet Potato Fries, Sauteed Veggies, Rice
Wednesday – Sausage with red sauce, Sauteed Broccoli from the freezer
Thursday – Leftovers
Friday – Tortellini
- Make bread – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
- Make kombucha – Thursday
- Cut up veggies – Wednesday
