I haven’t posted about my handwork recently though I work on my projects almost every night while watching Bill O’Reilly or NCIS. (Not sure which is better!) I’m also mending socks a few times a week. I got stuck on my embroidery project – pillow covers – and I may end up ripping out the stitches and starting a new pattern.
I have two knitting projects that I alternate between as the mood dictates. The first is a blanket for my daughter’s doll cradle. I had planned on doing another quilting project, but I decided to use up the cotton yarn I have in a patchwork blanket. The blue may end up being the predominant color since I’m running out of the other two. I’m knitting 4 1/4 inch squares, casting on 20 stitches. The stitch is moss stitch. I saw it in a Debbie Bliss magazine and decided to try it. It’s an easy stitch and would also make for a nice wash cloth.
My other knitting project is a strip of lace for one set of pillow cases in our master bedroom. The pattern is in Weekend Knitting. I’m using cotton yarn from my stash.
