On Saturday, I let go of a lot of stuff at Goodwill, some of it I had held onto for “some day.” I still couldn’t get rid of the stamps that some day I might use with my daughter, but that’s unusual for me. I don’t think I’ve ever put a box of donations back in my car.
Last week, I donated a plastic pitcher to Goodwill only to walk into the store and find a glass one. This time, I donated another plastic pitcher and found a 12-inch cast-iron frying pan for $8. There are no accidents!
I also found an Ann Taylor Loft blouse for $3.50, originally $40, a pair of Anne Klein trousers for $1.75 (half price for pink tags), originally $200, and a pair of Gap jeans for $5.00, originally $60. These are great additions to my currently extremely skimpy nonmaternity wardrobe (thanks to four kids in six years).
Once we get the kids back in their bedrooms, I’m going to hit a few more areas of the house!
