Sometimes the best ideas are the easiest ones born out of frustration with what’s available. This banana with peanut butter snack is one of those. One day, I was standing in the kitchen frustrated because there was NOTHING I could eat. I wanted peanut butter, but I couldn’t have bread; we had no apples or celery. Enter the peanut butter and banana sandwich, minus the bread.
This would also be a fun snack to send to school as long as your child would be comfortable with slicing their own banana with a plastic knife and then putting the peanut butter on. I would recommend mixing some of the toppings into the peanut butter to prevent them from fall off and on to the floor. Not a pretty sight at school, nor sanitary.
