I hardly ever share the daily moments of our life as a family of 7 on A Life in Balance. I feel like I’m focused on the bigger picture instead of the small details here on the blog. If you’re a fan on Facebook or follow me on Instagram, you get glimpses of our family life.
Every Saturday, I’m going to share 5 glimpses of daily life to share with you the family behind A Life in Balance. Don’t forget to join me on Instagram for more daily life.
Last Saturday, I took my 7 year old daughter to a rollerskating birthday party. She skates at home and does fine. Yet, the minute she saw the roller skating rink on Saturday, she freaked out and didn’t want to roller skate. After lots of tears and talking, I finally got her to go around. Then again. Then again. All of a sudden she was all smiles and hanging out with her girl friends from school.
This dwarf rhododendron was an anniversary gift from my husband shortly after we moved in our house.
My middle son is a hoot, as I always say. He’s always quick with a smile or a joke or a sassy remark.
These peach roses come from the climbing rose next to our back porch. I love seeing them on my desk.
Of course, we celebrated National Donut Day yesterday. I picked up 2 dozen donuts from the reduced section at Giant yesterday for $2.34 per dozen. Nice!
