I hardly ever share the daily moments of our life as a family of 7 on A Life in Balance. I feel like I’m focused on the bigger picture instead of the small details here on the blog. If you’re a fan on Facebook or follow me on Instagram, you get glimpses of our family life.
Every Saturday, I’m going to share 5 glimpses of daily life to share with you the family behind A Life in Balance. Don’t forget to join me on Instagram for more daily life.
Our flower and vegetable seeds we started in late February started appearing at the beginning of this week. My 5 year old son was very excited to see the new plants coming up. If our vegetable garden plans fall through this year, I will be planting all of these 90 or so plants in our flower beds and a few pots.
Remember sit-upons? My daughter’s troop made these this week. I love the picture my daughter drew on hers, probably to make sure her brothers knew what they were looking at. On the other side, the girls in the troop signed each other’s sit-upon. I’ll be sharing how to make the sit-upon next Friday.
I’m crossing my fingers these are the last footprints we see stretched across the yard this winter. A mom can wish, can’t she?
This past December my husband did a huge jelly making session using up all the homegrown black raspberries stored in our freezer. I forgot about the jelly even though it was in plain sight down in the basement. What a delightful addition to my Udi’s Gluten-Free toast! And yes, the butter is not different. The butter on the right is the Kerrygold Grassfed Butter. I finished the package with this toast. Time to buy some more!
