Feeling inspired about the 2009 gardening season, I wanted to share some pictures of plant combinations in pots for those needing/wanting ideas. These photos were taken at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square.
I love wandering around Longwood Gardens and getting ideas for plant combinations from their displays. Since the gardens cover many acres, I can find many different color combinations, a few of which I can use for my pots at home. I also find inspiration for trellising ideas at Longwood and Tyler Arboretum. Trellising is a great way to add height to a garden.
Please note the use of a clay pot to contain/hide a black gardening hose in the last picture. I thought that was a clever way to hide a gardening tool.
