While writing a guest post about Foil Packet cooking for Tribna of O’Boy Organic this week, I decided to try a camping dessert recipe I found on Broke Girl Rich. I turned it into a gluten-free recipe by using a Udi’s Gluten Free Tortillas. The tortilla also helped contain the melted Nutella and marshmallow inside the packet.
Foil Packet Dessert: Banana Nutella and Marshmallows in Gluten-Free Tortilla
Ingredients
- gluten-free tortilla
- banana
- 1 T Nutella
- ¼ cup mini marshmallows
- one 10 inch sheet heavy duty aluminum foil
Instructions
- Lay the aluminum foil on a flat surface.
- Place the tortilla on top. Then add the banana, Nutella, and marshmallows. Pull up the sides of the tortilla and hold in place while pulling up the sides of the aluminum foil to fold together. The idea is to keep the foil from sticking to the Nutella and marshmallows.
- After folding the short sides of the aluminum foil together, fold up the ends of the foil packet. Leave a little vent to allow steam to escape.
- Place right side up on hot coals or a grill. Cook for about 20 minutes. Carefully check for doneness.
