Are they trying to escape or take over the kitchen?
This week, Making Our Sustainable Life answers a very important question: what to do with all that zucchini?

My zucchini took over last year. By mid July we could not eat one more!
This reminds me of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes … but in a good way! 😉
I just discovered how much I love zucchini – grill it and use as hummus dipper! Thanks, I’m bookmarking that link!

Barb, Thanks for featuring my post – glad you liked it! But seriously, I’m getting a feeling that my tomatoes are soon to overwhelm me also! I added a post today about some research I have been doing on making your own vegetable rennet. I plan to make some cheese soon and was looking for a way to make it without having to buy the store bought version of rennet. As luck would have it, you can make it out of both purple thistle and nettle! Thanks for having this blog party – see you again soon! Vickie

Thank you for hosting. I am number 54 this week — Garden Produce — to Can or Not to Can.
As someone who has saved money all of my married life, I always felt vaguely guilty that I do not can food. But no more. It hasn’t hurt our finances, and I put my energy in other areas.
My philosophy has always been to encourage people to find what works uniquely for them, and then to go for it. So if you don’t like to can, I’ve got your back.
