Easy healthy breakfasts are so important on busy school day mornings. I always tell my kids that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and a glass of milk is not breakfast.
In 2015, one of my goals for staying organized in our home is menu planning. Menu planning gives me a framework for staying on top of meals and snacks for our family of 7, even if I don’t stick to the plan. The plan is the jumping off point when life happens.

Easy Healthy Breakfasts
I haven’t planned breakfast much in the past. My fall back breakfast for the kids has been toast and cereal. While I’m not an advocate for making my kids a hot breakfast every morning, I know cereal and toast are lacking in protein. I think protein in the morning gives my kids long-lasting energy for the day.
I went through my pins on Pinterest and found 5 easy healthy breakfasts to try in January. The baked goods can be made ahead of time and frozen. I can also make a batch of granola ahead of time, or buy it at the store. The beauty of these recipes is they can all double as snacks for my kids, too.
