This recipe came about through a last minute change in my dinner plan. I wanted to make American Chop Suey again, but discovered we were out of ground beef. Fortunately, I had a marked down packet of beef chuck cubes in the freezer.

Make Ahead Meal Tip:
You can get ahead start on the recipe by browning and freezing the beef chuck cubes in meal portions.
- 1.5 lbs beef chuck cubes
- 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup hot water with beef base
- Salt and pepper
- 1 T onion powder
- Bacon grease
- Brown the meat in bacon grease.
- Put all the ingredients in a heavy-bottomed pot on the stove.
- Cook for 1½ hours.
