Outside my window…
Darkness and a light covering of snow on the ground.

I am thinking…
about January running me over with Girl Scouts, a lingering sinus infection, and a running injury. It’s time to get back on track.

I am thankful for…
my ankle only being badly sprained.

I am pondering…

From The Questions We Should Be Asking by Brighton Park

Living a green/frugal lifestyle…
I didn’t do too well in the frugal department yesterday. The belt needs replacing on my vacuum cleaner. My husband and I drove to the closest parts store and bought a new one. We didn’t realize we needed a specific model number, and the guy who sold us the belt was closing his store that day. I’m positive he didn’t care if he sold us the wrong belt because we would never be able to return it. Now I need to look elsewhere after wasting about $7, plus the cost of gas.

It always pays to have the model number for an appliance part in hand.

From the kitchen…
With a sprained ankle, I didn’t cook very much last week apart from a new soup recipe.

Last week, I tried some recipes from Williams-Sonoma Comfort Food. Today, I will be looking at a new cookbook for new recipes to try.

I am creating…
a positive attitude in myself for February.

I am going…
to stay home.

I am reading…
books on the Kindle. I need to catch up on my free downloaded cookbooks.

Living A Healthy Lifestyle…
While I’m waiting for my ankle to heal, I am rehabbing it plus focusing on leg strengthening. My plan is to try running next Saturday if all goes well.

I am hoping…
For a great, though busy week.

I am hearing…

Around the house…
I had planned on getting piles put away yesterday; I didn’t get it done. Today I will with some help from my kids.

One of my favorite things…
Panera Bread. I had their French Onion Soup and Spinach Salad for dinner last night. Both tasted pretty good. However, I was annoyed that they didn’t listen to my request to skip the bread on the onion soup.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Helping with registration at my children’s school, Girl Scouts, Lunch Duty, and the Philadelphia Home Show.

A picture for thought…

Omelette a la Gregoire
I’m asking for another one of these for breakfast.
