Outside my window…
Snow.

I am thinking…
about my 7 mile run this morning, my sore muscles from Boot Camp yesterday, and my fun date with my hubby last night.

I am thankful for…
My strong muscles.

I am pondering…
My 4 words for 2013: Compassion, Release, Dedication, and Discipline.

Living a green/frugal lifestyle…
I needed some extra layers to stay warmer this winter. When I went to Target, I hit the clearance racks and found what I needed along with a few long sleeved shirts on sale. All set now.

From the kitchen…
My menu plan is set for the week, including my trying some new recipes for lunch.

I am creating…
A race calendar for 2013.

I am going…
to mass and for a 7 mile run.

I am reading…
the Problogger books I bought last December.

Living A Healthy Lifestyle…
I’ve finished my first week of my winter training. I’m still working on my strength training plans though I’ve found a great Saturday morning cross training session.

I am hoping…
For a productive week.

I am hearing…
only the cat and Suits on tv. Looking forward to watching Downton Abbey for the first time on tv tonight.

Around the house…
Christmas decorations are mostly put away. I’m thinking about decorating my mantel for the winter. I need to pull out bigger clothes for some of the kids.

One of my favorite things…
Running.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Lots of evening commitments – Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Venturing, Home and School Meeting, and Basketball.

A picture for thought…

Snowy trail run at the wildlife refuge #13in2013
Completed my 7.2 mile long run at the wildlife refuge with my new Yaktrax.

Question: Did you run in the Yaktrax PRO or did you get Yaktrax RUN? I ask because I bought PRO by accident and I’m nervous to run with them! Let me know, please!

I ran in the Pro. Even where the snow was gone, and it was just the dirt, they were fine. I didn’t notice a difference in weight or anything else, other than the snow collecting on the bottom of my left one. I think that had more to do with the snow being wet and my left foot moving differently than my right.

Thank you for your reply! Maybe I won’t attempt to return these and find a small pair of RUN ones (which are seemingly sold out all over the Internet). I don’t think I’ll get to test them for another week or two as we’re in for a melt this week!
