Yes, I really went there with the cow puns. When I was offered a chance to check out Goetze’s Candy Cow Tales® by USA Love List, I knew the kids and I would have lots of fun coming up with cow jokes while digging into the samples I was sent. All opinions expressed in this post are my own.
Even better, one lucky reader will get their own box of Cow Tales® fun in the mail. Plus, you can download my cow jokes to share with your kids, or tuck some cow jokes into their lunch box.
Made in the USA, Cow Tales® are a local candy for my family since they’re made in Baltimore. I was fascinated to learn that Cow Tales® were first made in 1984. I feel like they’ve been around forever! Cow Tales® are an elongated version of the Bulls Eye, a classic candy around since 1918, almost 100 years.
Fun New Snack: Crispy Moo Treat
I have a confession to make. Shh, don’t tell my kids. I needed a mom moment, and didn’t share these tasty new Crispy Moo Treats with my kids. I ate both of the treats I received. I did eat them at 2 different times. I wasn’t completely bad.
I won’t tell anyone if you buy a few for yourself and tuck them into your stash of favorite treats to have your own moment. That gooey marshmallow and crispy rice will draw you in, too. At 152 calories, this is definitely a Mom Treat. They’re oh so good with coffee.
Udderly Delightful Lunch Box Fun
I love including a fun treat in my kids’ lunch, and Cow Tales® are perfect. With no potential for mess like chocolate, the regular Cow Tales and the mini Cow Tales are the perfect size for lunch. Wrap one of my lunch box jokes around the outside of the candy with a little bow to surprise your kids.
Of course, being a blogger, I had to google for recipes using Cow Tales®. Since the candy contains wheat which keeps the caramel thick, you can use Cow Tales® in a variety of ways. First of all, you can chop up the candy into small pieces and add it to cookie and bar recipes like chocolate chips.
If you want a creamier version of Cow Tales® in your recipe, Goetze’s Candy recommends melting the candy with milk over low heat to create a sauce. The sauce will incorporate into your recipes, unlike the candy pieces.
