I am fortunate to have blogging friends who are also librarians and booksellers. Jen of Making Our Life Matter is one of those fantastic friends! She’s back today with a huge list of books your kids will love. Make sure you check out her other lists of books for kids at the end of the post.
One of the most fun holidays is coming up on September 19th. Once that will have you dancing a jig and breaking out in an accent that is unmistakable. What day is it? Why it is Talk Like A Pirate Day!
And what better way to celebrate than with some really fun books. And we know how much I love to share my favorite books with my readers. Thanks, Barb, for letting me guest post today!
As many of you know, I am a bookseller in the Children’s Department. I eat, sleep, and breathe children’s books. So when Barb asked me if I would like to share some of my favorite books, I was excited to help. So here are a few of my favorites in no particular order:
Bubble Bath Pirates
How to be a Pirate (Little Golden Book)
|Let’s Save Pirate Day||
P is for Pirate: A Pirate Alphabet
So there you have it. A few of my favorite selections that will satisfy anyone’s curiosity for pirates. I suppose I should be talking in pirate slang, but I will spare you my non-existent pirate talking skills. The most I can handle is a hearty ARRRGGGHHH! Or perhaps, AYE MATEY.
See? I am totally hopeless when it comes to pirate speak. Do you have any good suggestions for learning how to talk like a pirate? Be sure to leave a comment and let me know!
