For me, the key to a good craft is simplicity. And no glitter. I don’t have a dedicated crafting space, and I can’t leave any crafts I’m making with the kids on our dining room or kitchen table out for more than a few hours. We use those tables for meals and homework.
The other key is the cost of supplies. I’m not investing lots of money in craft supplies that I end up not using. I buy many of my supplies in the Target Dollar Spot or on clearance at Michael’s Craft Store. I keep them in a few bins and make sure I use them first when starting a new craft project.
