Sometimes we need to play games with our minds for easy ways to save money. These simple games can jump start us into saving money on a regular basis especially if they’re painless and easy to automate. How about using these tips to start that emergency fund you’ve been meaning to start?
Easy ways to save money that add up to hundreds in a year:
- Clean out your purse/wallet and put the spare change in a jar. Over 3 months, we accumulated over $20 in our jar. We have an account at TD bank for depositing the change.
- Collect $1 bills in an envelope at home and bank the amount at the end of the year.
- If you write a check for groceries, round the amount up in your check book register and collect the change in your checking account.
- Bank all windfalls, whether it’s the rebate check from All State or a gift from a relative.
- Bank store refunds.
